Secondary Program
Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. STEM is everywhere these days.
But at AMA, we go beyond the buzzwords: bringing real-world manufacturing and engineering into classrooms at an early age.
We believe the sooner students get hands-on with technology, the better prepared they’ll be to shape the future. That’s why we work directly with secondary schools, combining inspiration, discovery, and practical challenges to show students—and their parents—that STEM is not only important, but exciting, creative, and full of opportunity.
From our early classical program to today’s growing STEM Box projects and company visits, AMA now offers a complete path to reach and inspire students at every level of their technical journey.
What Do We Offer?
1
Build To Print Project
Our core program, where students follow the full journey of manufacturing an aerospace part, from drawing to machining, inspection, and assembly.
Combining the best of our classic challenge and build-to-print experience, this program grows with the students and pushes their technical limits.
2
Education Meets Industry
Step inside the world of advanced aerospace manufacturing.
Through guided visits to ASCO Industries, students discover high-precision machining, digital design, and metrology, while meeting the passionate people who make it all real.
3
Educational STEM Boxes
In development.
From Halle To Mars
Together with ASCO Industries, AMA supported Atheneum Halle and GO! Halle in their journey through the VOKA STEMpact program—where they proudly finished 2nd out of 33 schools.
By focusing on deep learning, real industry challenges, and sustainable collaboration, this project proved how far ambition and STEM education can go, maybe even all the way to Mars.
Some of our Secondary Projects
From CNC to Chocolate
Students from ZAVO High School in Zaventem manufactured a precision CNC-machined mold, used to create the final injection molds for the ASCO-branded praline.
This project introduced students to mold design, CNC machining, and the injection molding process, with a delicious end result.
A perfect example of precision manufacturing applied in a creative way.
In collaboration with ASCO Industries and RTC Vlaams-Brabant, schools manufacture their own high-performance drone, fully supported by AMA.
After designing and assembling the drone, students put their skills to the test in a competitive race, hosted by Drone Racing Flanders.
A dynamic project combining aerodynamics, electronics, and machining with real-world excitement.
Students take on the challenge of producing a miniature aircraft flap track mechanism, based on real aerospace design data.
With 3D models and technical drawings provided, schools are responsible for industrializing, machining, and assembling the full system.
A hands-on way to build skills in technical drawing interpretation, manufacturing techniques, and precision assembly.
What After STEM?
AMA helps bridge the gap between secondary education and higher technical studies.
We connect STEM schools with our network of university colleges, engineering programs, and industry partners, ensuring students (and their parents) understand the next steps toward a future in engineering and manufacturing.
Whether it’s a guided visit, an AMA project, or mentoring from real engineers, we help shape informed, inspired decisions.
Let the future begin, it’s in our hands.
